Major General TNI (Mar) Dr. Hermanto, SE, MM, CSBA, CTMP, while reading the remarks of the Chief of the Indonesian Navy, emphasized the importance of the role of PIMA as a strategic partner of the Indonesian Navy in strengthening Indonesia’s maritime potential.
Jakarta | The Andalan Maritime Insan Association ( PIMA ) celebrated its first anniversary in Jakarta, May 5, 2025, with a spirit of togetherness, dedication, and synergy to realize superior and inclusive national maritime potential.
The celebration of PIMA’s first anniversary was also attended by various important national maritime figures, including Major General TNI (Mar) Dr. Hermanto, SE, MM, CSBA, CTMP, and all his staff, Chief of Staff of the Navy for the 2012-2014 period, Admiral TNI (ret.) Prof. Dr. Marsetio, SIP, MM, Secretary General of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Commissioner General. Pol. Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho who was represented by the Head of Public Relations and KLN, Zaki Mubarok, Inspector General Pol. Dr. Drs. Yehu Wangsajaya, M.Kom., Mrs. Natalia Sutrisno Tjahja as the founder of the Maria Monique Last Wish Foundation and representing the Secretary General of the Asean para Sport Federation, Chairman of PBJI DK Jakarta, Abdul Azis Muslim SH, and Chairman of NPC DKI Jakarta, Yasin Onasie, as well as community leaders.
Major General TNI (Mar) Dr. Hermanto, SE, MM, CSBA, CTMP, while reading the speech of the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, emphasized the importance of the role of PIMA as a strategic partner of the Indonesian Navy in strengthening Indonesia’s maritime potential, both in terms of human resources, natural resources, and infrastructure. He also invited all PIMA members to maintain a collaborative spirit in developing a sustainable marine and fisheries sector.
During one year of its journey, PIMA has recorded a number of strategic achievements that reflect the organization’s grand vision, namely to realize a prosperous and highly competitive marine and fisheries community. Currently, PIMA has eight Regional Leadership Councils (DPW) spread across various regions and will continue to grow. This is part of PIMA’s commitment to continue to grow and develop.
PIMA conducted a social action by providing ten wheelchairs for the disabled to the Maria Monique Last Wish Foundation. In addition, to enliven the event, PIMA also provided various door prizes and entertainment by national artist
PIMA Chairman, Harnoto, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for all the support that has been given by the Indonesian Navy, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and all maritime people. “This one-year journey is proof that with the spirit of collaboration, we can bring real impact to the maritime community. We are committed to making PIMA a forum that fights for the welfare, sustainability, and progress of the Indonesian maritime and fisheries sector ,” said Harnoto.
This celebration is not only a form of gratitude, but also a momentum for evaluating and strengthening future strategies in facing national maritime challenges.
PIMA, Harnoto emphasized, is expected to not only be an ordinary association, but also a hope that is built and formed by the hearts of every PIMA Indonesia person, to be able to learn, build, synergize, and help maintain maritime affairs throughout the archipelago.
The PIMA Chairman appealed to all administrators to rise and fight together so that they can become a mainstay for all maritime people in Indonesia.(*)
